Can Hypnosis Therapy Help You Deal With Your Physical or Emotional Problems?
Hypnotherapy or hypnosis therapy, is an alternative therapy that uses the power of the mind to deal with physical as well as emotional problems. Hypnosis is a state of heightened relaxation and altered awareness.
Medical studies have confirmed that many diseases are stress-related or are caused in the mind. It is therefore vital that any health problems that are related to physical or emotional issues should use the power of the mind to treat the conditions.
Hypnotherapy is known to have been in use for the last 6,000 years and is frequently used to treat a wide range of conditions.
These include:
- fighting obeisity in weight loss program
- helping smokers to quit smoking
- the treatment of alcoholism
- helping to overcome depression
- the treatment of insomnia
- dealing with phobias
- anger management
- managing panic attacks
- the management of pain
- personal development
- and even breast enlargement
In the UK, although hypnosis therapy is available on the NHS, most people get their hypnotherapy treatment done privately.
During the first visit, the hypnotherapist will take notes of the client's physical and emotional problems and plan the appropriate course of treatment for the client.
The client will sit on a comfortable chair or couch. During the induction stage, the hypnotherapist in their monotonous voice, will make suggestions to help their client to relax and focus their mind on something.
When the client is totally relaxed and in an altered state, the hypnotherapist will begin the process by extracting information from the client's subconcious mind to establish the cause of the problem.
The hypnotherapist will then make powerful suggestions to the client's subconcious mind to, for instance, quit smoking. The subconcious mind will readily accept the suggestion or command, especially if the client desperately wants to quit smoking or kick a bad habit.
At the end of the session, the hypnotherapist will gradually bring the client out of the hypnotic state. The client will feel totally relaxed and re-energised after the hypnosis therapy session.
Hypnotherapy can be used to effectively treat any deep-root emotional problems. It is frequently used in weight loss program or a means to quit smoking.
However, if you suffer from epilepsy, schizophrenia or clinical depression you should speak to your doctor first before making an appointment to see a hypnotherapist.
