Your Free Travel Pass Is Your Passport To An Active Lifestyle In Retirement
Your free travel pass gives you free travel on buses and, if you live in London, your Freedom Pass gives you free travel on the London Underground, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway, Tramlink, London buses and National Rail Services within London.

English National Bus Scheme
Your pass also allows you to travel for free on local bus services in England between 9.30am and 11.00pm.
So, if you live outside London and have a valid travel pass issued by your local council, you can also travel for free on London buses. Use yuor travel pass frequently and enjoy your sightseeing in London or any part of England for free.
However, you do need to pay for your inter-city fare which you can get at a discount as most travel organisations have concessionery fares for senior citizens.
Freedom Pass
If you live in London and hold a valid Freedom Pass you can travel free at any time on the tube, bus, Tramlink, DLR and London Overground. You can go on outings with up to 4 under-11s and your group travel for free.

You can also travel on the National Rail Services within London for free from 9.30am on weekdays and at anytime on weekends and public holidays.
However, Freedom Passes are not valid on the following services operated by:
- East Coast Mainline Co. Ltd
- Midland Mainline
- Virgin Trains
- Gatwick Express
- Heathrow Express
- Heathrow Connect (between Hayes & Harlington - Heathrow)
and
- First Class travel

If you need to travel beyond the Freedom Pass travel area you must buy an extension ticket before you travel. You have to show your Freedom Pass at the ticket office when buying your extension ticket.
London Overground, Tramlink & DLR
You can use your Freedom Pass on these transport services at any time.
River Services
When you buy tickets for riverboat services you will get a discount on production of your Freedom Pass.
